First experience:
I have been called up to go for an interview at Fuji Xerox Tower, Pathfinder Alliance Pte Ltd. Initially, i thought it was some kind of Audit firm so I thought no harm trying out since I’m desperately looking for a job. However, the weird thing is that the HR Executive named Evonne called and asked to go for the interview, she didn’t state the position that I’m applying for, the unit no. and I was told to go down to the tower. And when i reached the tower, i had to wait for her call to give me the unit no. #06-00. WTF is that?! Its a pretty weird way to go an interview! Nevertheless, I just go for it. When I was about to sign in at the security counter, i saw the log in book with all the word PRUDENTIAL!!! Suddenly, it just strike me that I didn’t even apply for this job at all!! To be kind and polite, I just went ahead for the F**king interview and after the whole session I tell myself that I will not ever step in the tower again.. AND GUESS WAT!!!!
Second experience:
I got a call again for an interview! And its the same bloody place – Fuji Xerox Tower, however I was given by a different company name, Forward Careers. I was kinda happy at first but the thought of the tower, I was skeptical to go down cause I don’t to waste my time and money to go down to the same place and got the same bloody P********L interviewing me. So I decided to call this lady, Lee Hui Wen 6228450 to double confirm that they are really recruitment agency not Prudential. However, I still feel uncomfortable going down so I decided to google search and came across lots of forum discussing about it. In the end, I gave a call and told her that I’m not going down else it will be a waste of my trip!
So to all out there.. if you ever heard of anyone asking you to go for any interview especially to Fuji Xerox Tower and you are not interested to become an agent or whatever so.. my advice is DON”T GO THERE AT ALL regardless which level you have been given! To me, it was such a turnoff when I heard the tower name! Unless a reputable company called for an interview..
Anyway, good luck to all the job seeker out there!

Hi Berilyn, to add on to the above.
Yes, I had similar experiences with them..
I was called up. Then I realized it was an insurance agent job. I rejected instantly. They offered me a telemarketing job on a part time basis.
I took up the job as they offered me $7/hour. They agreed and even told me the hours are flexible. I planned out my working schedule with them and even passed them all my personal particulars. Eventually, on the day to report for work, I called them up, to find out whom do I report to? Guess what??? Their reply is oh…the position is already filled up and i was too busy to inform you.
Firstly, why is it that on the first interview, they offered me the position? Secondly, why is it that they didn’t even bother to tell me? Thirdly, how did they get hold of my mobile number?
Who can I report to for such Unprofessional company practice?

Hi there..I think it have to depends on who you dealing with..I just went to Pathfinder for interview two weeks ago for the post of HR Executives also..I was considering after I saw all ur comments here..however I always think no harm to know more and I don’t want to waste any possible opportunity..Therefore I went down subsequently..Surprisingly they just interviewed me for HR executive only..when I took the initiative to ask them about career of agent..They told me that they don’t accept people easily and need more time to know me if I want to be agent..And guess what happened?I just started working as HR with them 3 days ago..Yeah..my director told me that many people get the wrong idea from internet..therefore it’s easier for those who “don’t mind to know more”..My personal opinion is……..Go down to find out as there are many teams there..they are operating differently..You never know that you are going to miss the opportunity if you didn’t go down..If they really talk to you all about agent..then you can just leave the place if you are not interested..You never know there may be another HR or secretary job waiting for you as what offered to me until you go down..true? :>

Hi, I received a call today from a guy and he claimed to have read my CV with details. Arranged for an interview for tomorrow. He can’t tell me for sure who he represents and what they sell. Good thing I came upon your blog. Just saved me a lot of time.
By the way, this is also a misrepresentation of information and services. It is not lawful.

Hi all, i think its depend on which group you are going for interview. There are always bad eggs in any basket. Ask for more details, you can always not go if you are not convinced. I went there before. I also hesitated as I read abt it in forum, but I went instead. The guy who interview me today for a Biz Dev position was looking for operational support for his agency. He did not even share with me anything about agent job. He said he will be happy to if I am interested. He just told me that if I am employed, it will be under his agency payroll with HR benefits and not under Prudential or Pathfinder. He also explained about the difference in organisation and job scopes. He knew about the adverse comments but just said that he use this topic as a discussion to assess the individual’s personality and sincerity in getting the job instead. Maybe dont write off your job seeking chance so fast in today context.
Good Luck
